Working on green jobs for a greener future

Working on green jobs for a greener future

A comprehensive re-naturalisation project launched in the early 1990s brought about big changes in the Ruhr Metropolitan Area, home to 5.5 million people.  With a run-time spanning decades and a budget of several billion euros, this undertaking – known as the ‘Emscher Conversion’ - is one of Europe’s largest sustainable infrastructure projects.

But 'green jobs' is not only about big projects. Young entrepreneurs of the city of Essen will talk about what they are doing and how they got started!

The closing event will be held back-to-back with the EGCA-2019 / EGLA-2018 award ceremony, which is a by invitation only event.
